The Streetboard World Championship 2013 was held the 6th and 7th of December, in Karlsruhe, Germany. After an incredible weekend, Sergi Nicolas from Barcelona is announced as the winner, and by this making him the World Champion of Streetboarding for the 8th time. He is also nominated as the Rider of the Year 2013 by StreetBoarder Magazine.
Sergi Nicolas started to skate at the age of 12 in Barcelona, in the city where he grew up. His skating quickly evolved, and after a trip to LA, he went pro. Since this trip we have seen a colossal progress in his skating, resulting in Sergi becoming one of the most innovative streetboarders the world have seen. In addition to making a great contribution to the growth of the sport, he constantly keeps pushing the level by showing creative and fearless riding.
Sergi have had the opportunity to travel the world with his street board. Currently living in California, while preparing for a trip around South America, he is now back in Spain for a couple of weeks. If you ever meet Sergi, where ever in the world, two things are sure: he will be carrying his board and he will amaze you with his positive energy.
Sergi has had the courage to follow his childhood dreams, and he has chosen to never give up, even when times have been challenging. But despite all of his overwhelming accomplishments, he remains a truly authentic, sincere and humble person, always encourages other street boarders, as well as taking good care of the people around him.
Sergi Nicolas is the perfect role model as a BadToro, and we are proud to announce him as the first BadToro of the month.
