Our Badtoro won’t come home for Christmas, he prefers to continue travelling around the world and meet other people’s houses to discover different Christmas traditions. Do you aim to follow his footsteps?
For all we know, Badtoro has been in the Nordic countries. His teammate Badelk introduced him to Jólakötturinn, a huge cat that eats children who have not received new clothes at Christmas for bad behaviour. After a crazy party with them, our Badtoro decided to dress up as Santa Claus. This way he met another Christmas partners: in Holland he was accompanied by Zwarte Piet and they distributed pepernoot, kruidnoten and strooigoed (traditional Christmas cookies). He also went through the Alps to meet Krampus, a creature that captures the naughty children in his bag. Later, he went down to France, where Le Père Fouettard decides whether children have been good or not. And as he was close to the Basque Country (northern Spain), he also traveller there to meet the Olentzero, who explained how he will distribute all the gifts.
Now, our Badtoro has been invited to break a piñata in Mexico, with a stick and blindfolded, which it will let sweets fall if he gets it successful.
There is still time to visit many more places… and he really would like to! Where would you recommend Badtoro to spend this Christmas?
We are sorry for the inconveniences to those who already have welcomed him into their houses. Remember that if Badtoro has also been with you this holiday season, you can share it with all the community Badtoro through the hashtags #badtoro and #toritotravels.
